Twomey sends Ireland to glory at St. Gallen

Billy Twomey of Ireland was way better than the opposition as he rode to victory at the Longines Swiss Grand Prix in St. Gallen.The Cork-born rider, on Je t’Aime Flamenco, was the only competitor to have a double clear round in the competition and collected 50,000 euro in prize money.Twomey pipped Switzerland’s Christina Liebherr to the trophy when she suffered a first-round single time fault.In the third stage of Meydan FEI Nation Cup 2009, the USA finished ahead of Germany and Swizterland.
