USA lead strong field for FEI Nations Cup in Dublin

The Furusiyya Fei Nations Cup arrives in Dublin with eight teams chasing victory. Ireland will be out to make it a home success and coach Robert Splaine has Olympic medalist Cian O’Connor, Denis Lynch, Dermott Lennon, Billy Twomey and rising star Allen Bertram in his team.The USA will be favourites, having won the Europe Division 1 and 2 at Hickstead and Gijòn. All eyes will be on Katie Dinan with the talented Giulia Martinengo Marquet, the BWP Galan – S.Beezie Madden is also in excellent form while Jessica Springsteen could also make her mark in Robert Ridland’s team. The equally in-form Kent Farrington is also present.Germany as usual will be tough to beat with a mix of experience and youth.  There is Ludger Beerbaum, World and German champion Daniel Deusser, the talented Patrick Stuhlmeyer and Philipp Weishaupt, with Andre Thieme completing the line-up.France are also strong: Timothee Anciaume, Roger Yves Bost, Frederic David, Jerome Hurel and Julien Mesnil lead their charge for glory. Great Britain, Holland, Switzerland and Ukraine make up the other teams.
In terms of the standings, France and Holland lead with 245 points apiece while Belgium are third with 295 points followed by Spain (4° 282.5), Switzerland (5° 280), Germany (6° 255), Swieden (7° 220), Ireland (8° 205), Great Britain (9° 187.5) and Ukraine in tenth on 170 points.The Furusiyya Fei Nations Cup standings and all the riders for the CSIO5* in Dublin are attached.
