WEG 2014: Dubbeldam, Madden, Delaveau and Bengtsson qualify for show-jumping’s Final Four!

The “fantastic four” that will go through to Sunday’s show-jumping grand finale have been elected and they are: Patrice Delaveau with Orient Express HDC, Beezie Madden with Cortes C’, Rolf Goran Bengtsson with Casall Ask and Jeroen Dubbeldam with Zenith SFN. It means we now know that three of those four will finish their world cup adventure on the podium, but we shall have to wait and see tomorrow in what precise order. Focusing back on today’s qualification, US rider McLain Ward on Rothchild came agonisingly close to making it to the final and joining fellow American Beezie Madden with 0.31 of a penalty separating him from Dutch rider Jeroen Dubbeldam. Both Dubbeldam on Zenith SFN and Patrice Delaveau on Orient Express HDC recorded clear runs while the latter has shown himself to be in splendid form right from the start of this competition taking the lead after the opening phase.
