World Cup: Epaillard wins on home soil
The penultimate leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping 2016/2017 has been won by the home rider Julien Epaillard with Quatrin de la Roque.
The 39 year-old from Normandy beat a star studded line-up on the course designed by Uliano Vezzani with Leopold van Asten second with VDL Groep Zidane and 21 year-old Guido Klatte third with Qinghai.
There was good Equestrian World for Italy too as Lorenzo De Luca came 12th with Armitages Boy after four penalties in the second round. Fellow Italian Alberto Zorzi was 15th with Fari Light vana’t Heike after 8 penalties.

In the overall standings, Kevin Staut remains in the lead followed by Italy’s Lorenzo De Luca in second. The final podium spot currently belongs to Denis Lynch.
