World Cup: preparations in full swing in Leipzig

All the attention in these coming days will be on Leipzig and the Partner Pferd 2014 which will play host to the next stage of the World Cup from the 16-19 January. The competition will take place at the Neue Messe Exhibition Centre, 20 thousand square metres of space, with the horses set to stay in Pavilion number 3, while Pavilion number 1 is where all the spectators will be able to follow the action in the purpose built arena.
The preparations are by now in full swing and not just for the show jumping World Cup, but also for the vaulting discipline. The good Equestrian World for fans is that events are set to start this Thursday with the Eggermann Junior Cup at 08.00.
Further, 72 riders from 18 different nations will be in action with a  total of 316 horses. They are scheduled to arrive between Tuesday and Wednesday, and please see below a full list of participants for the event: http://engarde.de/events/114/
As expected there are a host of German talents looking to make home advantage count, while Italy will be represented by one of its best riders: Natale Chiaudani will arrive with 5 horses, Belinda Fz, Fixdesign Almero 12, Quicka, and the promising talent Sly del la Magnifica e V.
