YOUNG ITALIANS AT HORSES RIVIERA RESORT

The Italian Youth Show Jumping Championships 2010 were completed on Sunday evening at the Horses Riviera Resort. At the San Giovanni equestrian centre in Marignano the most important medals were awarded to Italy’s young talent.
Saturday was a reason to rejoice for Ludovica Minoli in the Young Riders, Filippo Bologni in the Juniors, and Camilla Santini in the Pony category. Also, Alberto Violante claimed the title as Ita;y’s Children champion.
Sunday was another day full of finals.
SUNDAY’S RESULTS
Criterium Young Riders 2nd grade: Manuele Riganti on Sarcodor collected 10 faults to claim first place (21.76 pen.). Just behind him was Stefano Vincenti on Atos (22.96 pen), and the bronze went to Luciano Majorana (Royal Group).
Criterium Juniores 1st grade: Martina Gardosi (Lagavulin), leader after the second round won the gold medal (13 pen.). A barrage was needed for second and third place, claimed by Filippo Bassan (Ballan) ahead of Arianna Selvatici (Pavarotti).
Criterium Children: Francesca Garavelli (Midas) clinched gold after two rounds, closing with a perfect round. Silver medal for Allegra Campinoti on Joli Coeur, and bronze for Alessia Caprioli (Galopin) after a double clear round in the decisive round.
Junior Trophy 1st grade: Giulia Battistutta won the gold medal: Melina Gottardi (Emira), silver: Roberto Nocerino (Remise), bronze.
