Sara Vingralkova: Growing With Every Round
For Sara Vingralkova, another season with Scandinavian Vikings brings another opportunity to gain experience, develop her horses and compete on some of the biggest stages in the world.
At 24, Czech rider Sara Vingralkova is continuing to establish herself on the international show jumping circuit. Her career has already taken her to major competitions around the world, while her time as a U25 rider with Scandinavian Vikings has given her the opportunity to compete as part of a team alongside some of the sport’s leading riders.
For Sara, the experience has been an important part of her development, both in the saddle and with her horses. Each round brings another chance to learn, compete and build confidence at the highest level.
The opportunity to gain experience
“I’m really happy to be again part of another season of Scandinavian Vikings,” Sara says. “I think for us as U25 riders, it’s really an amazing opportunity to go all around the world to do the big shows, which is normally not so easy to get into.”
She believes the experience gained throughout the series has a lasting impact on both the riders and their horses.
“Every round, you get more experience, the horses as well. So I think my riding skills and my horses have also developed a lot in the last years.”
That development has been built over years of competition and through partnerships with horses that have played important roles in her career.
The horse of a lifetime
One horse, in particular, stands out when Sara reflects on her career so far. Kas-Sini DC came into her life when she was just 16 years old, and their partnership developed through the international levels.
“I think as a horse of a lifetime, I would say Kas-Sini DC.”
“He’s a horse which I got when he was seven years old. I was 16 at that time, and we did together our first CSI3*, CSI4*, CSI5*.”
Their partnership continued to grow, eventually taking them to some of the biggest competitions in the sport.
“I rode him in the World Championship, the Indoor Championships and the World Cup Finals. So I think that’s definitely the horse of my lifetime.”
For a rider who began the partnership as a teenager, the journey with Kas-Sini DC has been a defining part of Sara’s career and development.

Looking to move up the rankings
With another Scandinavian Vikings season underway, Sara has her sights set on improving the team’s position in the standings.
“I want to concentrate on the ranking, to get a bit higher than we are at the moment,” she says.
The team made a strong start to the season in Miami and Mexico before experiencing some more difficult rounds.
“I think we started really good in Miami, Mexico, but then we struggled a little bit.”
There is still a major target ahead, with the playoffs in Riyadh providing the highlight of the season.
“But, of course, the highlight of the season is the playoffs here in Riyadh.”
Rock’n Roll MXL
This season, Sara has another important horse by her side in Rock’n Roll MXL. She sees him as a key part of the Scandinavian Vikings team and hopes to continue developing their partnership throughout the season.
“My best horse for this year is for sure Rock’n Roll MXL. He’s amazing. I think he’s a strong support of our team.”
Looking ahead, Sara’s goal is to continue building with Rock’n Roll MXL and produce strong results when it matters most.
“I hope we can continue with him through this season to try to do some good results.”
Another season, another opportunity
For Sara Vingralkova, the Scandinavian Vikings season is about more than the results on the scoreboard. It is another opportunity to gain experience at the highest level, develop her horses and continue progressing as a rider.
From the partnership with Kas-Sini DC that began when she was just 16 to her current season with Rock’n Roll MXL, her career has been shaped by the horses alongside her.
Now, with another international season ahead and the Riyadh playoffs as the ultimate goal, Sara is focused on making the most of every round.
